We like to think of ourselves as friendly and approachable, and we value our customers greatly .. without you we would not be able to do the job we love!!

We have put our full terms and conditions of sale below - please be aware that purchasing items constitutes an understanding and acceptance of these terms so please read them carefully .. they are there to protect you after all!

Please note that Appleyard Candles is a brand owned by Nutty Crafts.

Where you can find us :

Unfortunately we can no longer allow collections.  We will be attending a small number of events throughout the year, and these will be listed separately. 

We also offer a limited number of candle parties which are held in the comfort of your own home.  These are also perfect for clubs and organisations looking to fundraise.

Sales :
All of our items for sale are described as accurately as possible. Please contact us should you require further information or details about the product(s) before you place an order. This helps avoid any disappointment or confusion.

We try to be as approachable as possible and always help our customers wherever we can. At the end of the day we are only human, and I’m sure we will make some mistakes along the way. You can be rest assured that we will always do our best to assist you and resolve any problems you may have.

If you have any comments to make, please feel free to speak your mind. Customer's feedback is our way of ensuring we provide the best service possible so we value your comments ... Be it good or bad!! If there is a problem please contact us and give us the opportunity to resolve the matter.

Payment Information :
Please note all invoices must be paid in full before goods will be dispatched to the customer. All non-online payments must be received within 7 days of purchase. We try to be as flexible as possible, and offer a number of payment methods …

* Website

Please note that all payments via the website are done using Shopify payments.  We will also be able to take payments over the phone and send out individual invoices.  

* Cash
Due to the security risks involved we do not accept cash as a method of payment for online orders. 

Please note that due to the costs involved, we no longer accept paypal as payment.  

* Direct Bank Transfer
You can also pay by direct bank transfer (please ask for further details). Bank transfers usually only take 2hours, occasionally they may take 3-5 days to clear, depending on which bank you use. Most, but not all banks are now using the faster clearance service!! Please advise us once payment has been made so that we can ensure your order is dispatched as quickly as possible.


Unfortunately we do not allow collection of orders

Shipping Policy :
We always try to ship your order within 48 hours of cleared payment. Occasionally this may be longer during busy periods. We will always notify you by email when your order has been dispatched so that you know when to expect it.

All items are posted by a trackable method, and you will be given the tracking number once your order has been completed.

At the moment we do not offer international shipping via the website at this time.

Returns Process :
If you would like to return an item for whatever reason please use the link at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions. You are then given 14 days to return the goods to us. We would request that you enclose a note stating your reason for returning the goods. This is not essential, but it helps us to improve the service we provide. Once the item has been returned your refund will be processed within 14 days. 

Please note that goods received back in an opened or used condition will be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% of the order value, depending on the condition of the item being returned.

If you fail to return the items to us within the specified time frame we will assume you have accepted the goods and your return request will be deemed cancelled.

The cost of your initial basic postage will also be refunded with your payment (£4.50).  If you opt for express postage then the difference will not be refunded.

Returns Policy :
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations you can cancel your order at any time either before or up to 14 days after the day of receipt of your purchase without penalty and without the need to give us any reason. However, the products must be returned unopened and unused. The basic postage costs will be refunded, as per the regulations, but please note that all return postage costs are the buyers responsibility and will not be refunded (unless the item was faulty).  Refunds will not be issued until the items have been returned and received by us.

Missing Items :
If your item has not arrived within 10 days please get in touch.  We will follow up with the courier and either offer a refund or replacement, as appropriate.

Please ensure you obtain a proof of posting certificate when sending items back, along with postal insurance, where appropriate. We will not be held responsible for non-delivery of returned goods.

Faulty Items :
If your item should arrive damaged or faulty please contact us immediately. Upon receipt of the returned item you can choose a full refund, or a replacement (where available).

Privacy :
This one is easy .. we will never sell or rent out your information to a third party under any circumstances. We value our own privacy just as much as you do, and therefore understand how important it is.  Please see our privacy policy for more information.
